What electrosleep therapy is

  • Electrosleep therapy is a neurotropic physiotherapy method based on the effect of low-frequency, low-intensity pulsed current on the central nervous system.
  • The method received its name because many patients experience deep relaxation, drowsiness or sleep during the procedure.
  • The therapy is aimed at functional regulation of cortical and subcortical structures involved in nervous, autonomic and endocrine regulation.

  • Special electrodes are applied according to ophthalmic-retromastoid or frontal-retromastoid methods.
  • Session duration and treatment course are selected individually by the physician.

Contraindications and precautions

  • individual intolerance to electrical current;
